BCore is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to provide systems administration and design supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Entitlements and Digital Policy Management. As an Infrastructure Engineer on this program, you will not only maintain environments for applications created by our software development teams, you will help design and deploy innovations such as container solutions, serverless architectures, and self-healing systems.
Primary Responsibilities
The Infrastructure Engineer will be part of a team of developers and cloud engineers that create new features for legacy applications as sponsor’s mission continues to expand and evolve. Our team also builds new applications as new mission needs arise. Our work rhythm revolves around the Scrum agile framework to deliver incremental enhancements on a 3-week cycle. Infrastructure Engineers actively participate in planning deliverables and grooming the Jira backlog. We rely on team collaboration to continually fine tune performance and ensure clear communication. Infrastructure Engineers also participate in a team rotation of O&M responsibilities. They are required to be on-call for after-hours support approximately one week every three months.
Required Qualifications:
Typically requires BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience deploying and administering Amazon Web Services, including work with AWS console and CLI (command line interface)
Experience creating container solutions using Kubernetes
Experience providing systems administration to Linux-based applications, including the creation of Bash scripts
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including CloudFormation
Experience with task automation using Jenkins and Rundeck
Experience addressing security controls as part of the security accreditation process
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments
Desired Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience with C2S
Experience building solutions designed to continue operation even if one AWS region is unavailable (“fail-over”)
Experience with system log aggregation and analysis using Elasticsearch and Kibana
Experience with IdAM / ICAM delivery systems, Authentication, Authorization, Entitlement Management and Digital Policy Management
Experience with server-less architectures and implementations, such as AWS Lambda and Python scripting
AWS certifications
Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust concepts
