Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team, applying cutting-edge research in a complex and evolving data environment. The successful candidate will develop code to perform complex modeling to detect and characterize objects using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and related software packages. They will enhance our evolving analytic tradecraft, integrate data from various sources, formats, and disciplines into coherent databases, train foundation models to advance the Intelligence Community, fine-tune models to address real mission questions, and write compelling documentation and reports for decision-makers. 

  • Develop code for complex modeling to detect and characterize objects using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and related software packages.
  • Enhance evolving analytic tradecraft.
  • Integrate data from various sources, formats, and disciplines into coherent databases.
  • Train foundation models to advance the Intelligence Community.
  • Fine-tune models to address real intelligence questions.
  • Write compelling documentation and reports for decision-makers.
  • Perform complex analyses and communicate results using accurate, concise, and effective writing and descriptive and graphical representations.
  • Utilize standard tools (e.g., the Sponsor’s various computing networks, Microsoft Office Products) and demonstrate the ability to learn to use and support other tools as the program evolves.
  • Bring diverse groups together on issues and facilitate reaching consensus across stakeholders.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:   

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with the required Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science, mathematics, statistics, etc.).
  • Programming and/or Data Science experience.
  • AI/Machine Learning experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R.
  • Experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Object Detection.
  • Conceptual, quantitative, organizational, research, writing, verbal communication, and graphical representation skills.
  • Sound judgment, creative problem-solving, and independent working skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to work with individuals and organizations, including varying levels and types (Government, industry, and academia).
  • Technical understanding of systems supporting aspects of the functional areas.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience with PyTorch, Keras, and overhead imagery is beneficial but not required.
