Responsibilities

Duties to Include but not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of complex engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature requiring strong technical skills in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines.
  • Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification.
  • Participates on complex project teams and provides guidance to technical staff
  • Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area
  • Solves a range of straightforward problems
  • Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area
  • Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
  • Will not have any supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new associates
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
  • Solves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents
  • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
  • Explains information to others in straightforward situations
  • Will participate in some or all of the following activities:
    • Capacity Management
    • Engineering Services and Implementation Support
    • Surveys
    • Engineering Designs
    • Engineering Template Development
    • Network Implementation Standard Operations Procedures
    • Project Estimation
    • Charging Time to Complex Projects
    • Audio and Visual Equipment Testing and Configuration
    • Audio and Visual Equipment Intial Validation
    • Audio and Visual System Control Programming 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:   

  • BA/BS and two (2) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6 years. 
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
  • Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in many aspects of information technology.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite
  • Knowledge of component and transmission medium compatibility and interconnection.
  • Willingness to travel as needed 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
  • Must be able to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. 
  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. 
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information. 
  • Resolving technical problems and answering queries by telephone or self-service that involve computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.

  • AMX/Extron Certification
